Ive Finally Hit $2000 a Month With Adsense
Im really pleased to be able to say that ive finally reached another huge milestone with adsense for the month of december after hitting my target that i had at the start of december for $2000. I will admit i was kind a worried because towards the end of the month i thought i was going to fall short of my target by literally a few dollars but the last few days of the month proved to be great days.
My total adsense for december 2010 was £1290.72 which is $2015.01
If you have been reading some of my other posts about that you dont need many sites in order to make a reasonable income with adsense then im now going to prove that it really is true as below are my stats for the month.
As you can see most of my income has came from 4 sites and i still have lots more improvements to make. I thought i would share a screen shot so that you can see that i do actually do what i say i do. So if your one of those people that has hundreds of sites or your constantly cranking out new sites hoping that the next may well be the big money maker then stop now and focus on say 3 of your sites with the most potential for the next say 6 months nothing else.
My target was to always hit $100 a day with adsense but unfortunately i keep missing that target by a few dollars every time lol by hiting between $90 and $97, still not too bad i guess. As you can see i had a few great days towards the end of december and once the new year gets underway im confident that those days will continue so january could well be a $3000 month but we will see how it goes.
Adsense is only one income stream that i have as i also have amazon on some adsense sites too. I have been leaving a lot of money on the table by not having amazon on my sites as i only added amazon at the start of december to my sites. I will be going into more detail about this in my next post and how i earned an extra $300 just by adding a few links on my pages.
I hope this has opened your eyes the fact that you dont have to be an adsense building machine, simply build bigger sites with more content that provide more value for your visitors as google likes content rich sites with more pages. Also you have far less maintnance to do if you only have a handfull of sites as appose to 100 when it comes to plug in updates

Very interesting blog. Can I ask you if it takes a long time for you to get traffic to the new pages you create on your site? I know some people make 5 page sites as they say that 80 percent of their traffic is to their index page. Do you get most of your traffic going to your home page? I think you also wrote that you go for searches sometimes only a few hundred to a thousand. Do you try to get in top 3 for these or is the idea to get traffic from lots of phrases on those pages?

each new page that i create i always make sure im going for the low hanging fruit so it wont take long to start ranking for the new page after i have built some bk links but every keyword is different so have a little patients and you will start to climb the rankings for the new page
building 5 page sites is ok and thats how i started out but once a site starts to do well build it out rather than just keep building more new sites. You will usually get more traffic to the home page initially but the more content you add then the more chances you will get found for other obscure keywords and also in time your new pages/posts will get ranked high as long as you have done your keyword research and competition check correctly otherwise getting ranked high could well take a very very long time
most of my sites i get more traffc to the homepage but as i build my sites out, more and more of my internal pages/posts are being found and begin to rank higher
yeah i only try to go for low hanging fruit for additional pages mainly between 170 searches and 1000 exact match, keywords within that area are usually easy to dominate
most of my sites rank in the top 3 of page 1 for there term how ever i do also try and rank all my internal pages aswell as theres plenty of traffic to be had from long tail searches aswell

Thanks for your replies. Can you say how much longer it takes you to get ranked for your internal pages vs your home pages? Also for backlinks do you use a variety of sources and do you do a lot more for the home page than internal page? Do you think spun articles used for backlinks can cause a manual check from google as some people say that can happen because the quality is low and they look like manipulation?

If you have a keyword rich domain name then you will usually rank a lot faster with your home page as it carries more weight as your main keyword is in your domain
internal pages can still rank quickly though as long as the competition is not too tough and also as long as your on page SEO is good and you build links to that page as well. There is no certain time frame when a page will get ranked and start getting traffic, how ever the more experienced you become with SEO, you will eventually have a much better idea how long it will take to rank for a particular keyword or phraze.
well i dont know how google will find out if you have used a spun article or not. Ive never known google to do checks on back links specifically on spun articles.
you could say that every link building method is manipulation because true link building is when other webmasters decide to link to your site. That is pure white hat link building and if you do anything related to building links yourself then that is link manipulation
But as we all know in the real world, we cant just sit back and hope the rest of the world links to us its just not going to happen in some niches, thats why we have to start the ball rolling ourselves.

I’m a big fan of your blog as I have already bought your videos. Anyway I currently have 2 jobs. Im a firefighter by trade, but i drive a senior citizen bus/van on my days off from the fire dept. When I get off from the 2nd job I jump right into this thing we call I.M.
After buying your videos and putting that knowledge to work I have seen a real difference in my adsense ctr and cpc. It isn’t a lot, but i have seen a difference. I only have 5 sites and 1 of those sites is new using the techniques from your videos. Imagine if i can get 10 or 20 such sites up and running with those same techniques! I must admit that I never would have known about this if you wouldn’t have shown it to me on the video. Now I will use it on every site i build.
Anyway my short term plan is to make $2000 a month with adsense. (Hopefully I can do that this year.) When i do that I can quit my 2nd job and focus on my long term goal which is to make $10,000 a month online in 10 years. I just wanted to thank you for the great information in your videos and your general attitude.
Since purchasing your videos I know now that i can do this, and I have a renewed motivation toward it. Thanx for everything paul,, and i will continue to learn, build websites, and be a fan!

im really glad my videos are helping you make more money and if you keep plugging away you will be able to say goodbye to your 2nd job in no time
the important thing is, as soon as you start getting a bit of momentum and seeing some results thats the time to hit things even harder, if you dont you will kick yourself down the road
keep building those sites but remember dont build too many, i would say a good number to have is 10 good sites rather than have 50 average ones
